Iconic Highlights - Black Creativity at its Best!

2014 marks the AACDD’s 5th exhibition and inclusion within the renowned London Design Festival, introducing a programme of events alongside our main exhibition to honour the diaspora design theme of Past / Present / Future.

Bargehouse has gradually become the AACDD’s iconic residence after three years of hosting such a vast and varied collection of artists and designers. We are pleased to announce that the African and African-Caribbean Design Diaspora will be curating it’s most vibrant and outstanding exhibition to date in celebration of it’s fifth birthday at this listed building, devoting, once again, all five floors to the creative excellence of Africa, the Caribbean and Europe.

In addition to the main exhibition, the AACDD 2014 Bargehouse Festival ‘Past / Present / Future’ will include an award honouring one artist from a list of varied discipline categories for their outstanding creative contribution to the African and African-Caribbean Design Diaspora and the London Design Festival.

The AACDD  Award, launching in 2014, marks the first installment of an award of this kind and is open to exhibiting artists and designers
